According to late Shailendra's Kanpur resident daughter Gopaa Chandra, this song was actually written by Shailendra, whose lyrics were written by Majarooh Sultaanpuree, but the name given on the record was Hasarat Jaipuree. At the end of this song, filmed in the voice of Mukesh in the film, after some dialogues (Raaj Kapoor-Vaheedaa Rahamaan), the last part of the same song in the voice of Suman Kalyaanapur - Preet Banaa Ke Toone... (about 70 seconds) was filmed on Vaheedaa Rahmaan.
